You are welcome to join us any Sunday at 10.00am for our Family Service. Since the coronavirus “lockdown” began, we have been streaming this service live to our Facebook Page and this will continue even as lockdown restrictions are easing.

Since July 2020 we have also been able to welcome people back into the church building for worship. We do request that you come wearing a face covering and use the hand sanitiser on your way in.

Children are always welcome at our services and we have a fantastic Young Church programme, which runs every Sunday (including a scaled-down form in the holidays). As of Sept 2020, we are delighted to be offering Young Church once again! Children aged 11 and under should be dropped off at the Church Hall from 9.50am. The kids will stay there for the duration of the morning service and should be collected again from the Hall at the end.

(COVID secure measures will be in place for Young Church and it is essential that you register your child in advance. If you have any questions, please contact us or speak to a leader at the Hall when you drop off your children.)

If you want to keep your children with you for our Sunday service, they would be very welcome. We suggest you bring something fun but quiet for them to play with (to help them enjoy their time in the building as well). Services are currently shorter than normal, lasting around 45mins – which should ease the concentration of adults and kids alike!

What to expect

Our 10am service has a friendly and accessible feel.  You will be welcomed at the door with a smile and it doesn’t matter if you’re late!

You will be shown to your seat by a steward. To help keep everyone safe, we ask that (at the moment) you remain in your seat throughout the service. (Families keeping their kids with them will be allocated a whole pew!)

It does take quite a bit longer to seat people whilst maintaining a safe distance between family groups so we’d be really grateful if you arrived early for the service. The church will be open from 9.30am.

The service will consist of a reading from the Bible, prayers (some that we say together and some led from the front) and a stimulating talk to show us something wonderful about God from today’s reading and how that can make a difference in our lives this week.

You can expect a range of old hymns and modern songs – everything from traditional favourites to upbeat numbers, chosen with the children in mind. (Not so many of those while Young Church are meeting only in the Hall!) Due to current restrictions, we are not able to sing together in the church building at the moment but someone will sing for us while we listen and reflect. (However, nodding, clapping and foot tapping is very much encouraged and not against any COVID19 regulations!)

After the 10.00am service everyone is normally invited to head over to the Church Hall.  Over tea & coffee (and sometimes even cake!) there’s a chance to refresh our bodies and our friendships as we catch up on the week with our church family.

During the summer months of 2020, we invited people to bring their own tea/coffee in a flask and spend just a few minutes catching up with the rest of the church family after the service in the church yard (whilst maintaining a safe distance between family units, of course!)

As of Sept 2020, it has been necessary to stop gathering in the garden and we would encourage you to make your way home as soon as you leave the building. But once you are home, why not pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t seen at church for a while to see how they are doing?
